Red, Aqua & Black Color Combo Challenge

This card is being entered in Scrapmaster's Paradise Color Combo Challenge #133 using the colors red, aqua and black.

I have to say this is definitely not my favorite color combo. I had a very hard time with it. I found some printed paper that had all  3 colors then it was a matter of figuring out the matting. I used a die to cut out the candles then I embossed them and inked the edges although that doesn't show very well. I used stickles on the flames. The black is very sparkly glitter paper. The Happy Birthday sentiment is from SP & Company Round Sentiments I stamp set.  The card definitely looks much better in person. I hope my stepson likes it!

Hexagon Challenge

This card is going to be entered in SP Trends Challenge #2 at Scrapmaster's Paradise. The challenge is to create a project featuring hexagons.

I used 2 different SP & Company stamp sets. For the sentiment I used Stitchery Doo Banners and for the banner I used Happy Banners.  I can see this set becoming one of my favorite go to stamp sets. The little girl is  from Stampin' Up.

For the hexagon background I used one of my Fiskars plates. I can't remember the name of it right now. The base of the card is actually  a gray but the picture makes it look blue. These aren't colors I would usually put together but I'm kind of liking it.

Thanks for looking!

Pink By Design Challenge

I'm entering this card in the Pink by Design brown, pink and white color challenge.

I used the Cuttlebug folder "Once Upon A Princess" on core'dinations pink and brown paper. I sanded it to bring up the pink. I decorated the cake with bling, stickles and a ribbon and mounted it on a white card base. I had to make it an A6 card because of the folder.

The Happy Birthday sentiment and banner is from SP & Company Happy Banners.

Sorry the picture didn't come out so great. I'm still trying to figure out how to photograph my projects.

Scrapmaster's Paradise Color Combo Challenge #132

Sami at Scrapmaster's Paradise has issued a new challenge to use the following color combo:

Here's the card I came up with. I used SP & Company Bold Sentiments I. I made this card for a friend of mine who just had knee replacement surgery. When I asked her if she was dancing down the halls yet she said "Yeah, like a 98 year old!" I thought the little old lady with a walker would be perfect for her.  My friend is only 50 something!

The lady is on a wobble. I tried to get a picture with it wobbling but it would stop wobbling before I could get the picture to snap. The little old lady is from the The Stampin Place. It is from the Age Humor Plate.

Scrapmaster's Paradise Chevron Challenge

I'm entering this card at Scrapmaster's Paradise Trends Challenge #1. We are to incorporate Chevrons in our project and use SP & Company stamps.

I stamped the Chevron on kraft paper and cut it out and mounted it on my card base. I also used a brad that Sami had sent me in one of my monthly kits.

I thought this would make a great masculine card and I'm planning on giving it to my stepson. I'm pretty sure that he doesn't know I have a blog. So I think I'm safe posting this here right now.
